If you've been looking for a place to make a difference in the life of a disadvantaged child, then the Charity Committee is calling you.We are currently recruiting a small group of interested people who volunteer their time and talents at two of our supported charities. We will be volunteering one or two afternoons/mornings each month to do activities with the children at Projecto Uerê and Lar Maria de Lourdes. Projecto Uerê is a school located inside a favela. They are using some unique teaching methods to teach children who historically have been deemed to be too unruly or unteachable. Lar Maria de Lourdes is a home for handicapped children. They care for approximately 40 children, most of whichhave been abandoned by their families. If you would like to participate in this group, then please e-mail us at cc@incrio.org.br .
