The Taste of Rio 2010 Committee has spent a great deal of time over the past couple of months contacting and visiting numerous venues for this year's event, originally planned for September. Committee members have also been in touch with restaurants and other food and beverage suppliers regarding their participation, but several had to decline, with great regret, because they were already booked for other events. In fact, we discovered that many venues as well as many restaurants were already booked through the end of 2010!
We want to present a memorable party with all the right ingredients, from venue to food to beverages, and after careful consideration of the situation, the Committee decided it had no alternative but to reschedule the event for a later date. We are now planning to reschedule the event for April or May of 2011, after Carnaval but before summer holidays.
We will be working diligently over the next few weeks to secure a venue for this new timeframe. Rest assured that we will have a marvelous Taste of Rio 2011 in this "cidade marvilhosa."
