What We Do - Activities

 


The InC is very fortunate to have a group of members who organize a number of activities on a regular basis. Joining a group gives you the opportunity to participate in an activity you like doing or have always wanted to do and at the same time to meet other InC members who share similar interests.

 

 

BOOK CLUB

The book club once a month in a member´s home. We get together to discuss the book of the month, select our reading list and to enjoy each other´s company over coffee and cake! This is a relaxed and informal group.

BRIDGE

InC members meet one afternoon a week in the Barra area. Members each pay R$ 5 per bridge afternoon towards the cost of coffee and tea and of course some cake. If any surplus remains at the end of each year hygienic supplies are bought and donated to a charity. This is a very relaxed, friendly and wonderful group – and we are always looking for more InC members to join forces with them. For more information send an email to activities@incrio.org.br.

 

CONCERTS

InC members interested of what is happening in the field of classical music, theatre and other performances in the Rio area will receive the monthly calendar upon request. Members can also get in touch with our specialist anytime when looking for specific information or when in need of assistance. FUN COOKING CLUB

On the second Wednesday of each month the 13 members of the Fun Cooking Club meet for lunch at the home of one of the 13 members, where the hostess provides lunch. The dishes are typical for the hostess's country and the lunch is a very friendly and relaxed friends-get-together. At the beginning of every year a roster is prepared and included is a barbecue and Christmas dinner, when husbands / partners are invited to join the group. 
 
 

QUILTING

The quilting group usually meets every 2 weeks on a Friday morning. This is a very happy and friendly group and while many a conversation is going on the quilting work gets done too! Members exchange ideas and suggestions with each other resulting in beautiful works of craft. For more information send an email to activities@incrio.org.br.

 

TENNIS

Tennis, anyone? One of our members, who lives in Barra da Tijuca, is available to organize tennis games for whoever is interested. For more information send an email to activities@incrio.org.br.
