Welcome to the International Club of Rio de Janeiro – the InC

Founded in 1965 by seven English speaking women, the InC now has approximately 200 members from 30 nations and is growing all the time. The initial purpose of the club continues today - to promote friendship among members of all nationalities living in and around Rio de Janeiro. When you're new to Rio there can be a lot to take in and the club is here to help you get settled, understand Brazil and life in Rio a little bit more, but most importantly to make friends.

The InC provides a diverse mix of activities, excursions, special interest groups and lectures, so there's bound to be something that captures your interest and gives you the perfect opportunity to get out and about and to meet people. We also support a number of charitable organizations in the greater Rio de Janeiro area, and provide opportunities for our members to volunteer or provide services to the larger Rio community through charitable works. The language of the InC is English, so all activities are conducted in English, but all nationalities are welcome to join us. The InC is a registered non-profit organization and as such has no political, religious or commercial affiliations.
